Job summary

The Bowery Mission in New York City is seeking an experienced Events Manager to lead the planning, execution and supervision of fundraising and cultivation events. The role oversees the Events Coordinator, coordinates with donors and sponsors, and serves as the project manager for our Thanksgiving Day program.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of event planning experience, strong Microsoft Office and Salesforce skills, and familiarity with print production.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or combination of education and experience.
• 5 years' event planning experience.
• Advanced software knowledge: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Print production knowledge and font principles.
• Experience with event-related tools and industry processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage multiple events with themes, goals, timelines, tasks and milestones.
• Lead planning meetings with stakeholders and internal teams.
• Assign and track tasks across teams using project management software.
• Oversee event workflows: emails, website, program/script, video, design, printing, testimony.
• Secure venues, AV, photographers, and other vendors; negotiate pricing.
• Track revenue for fundraising events and manage budgets.
• Coordinate with sponsors, including recognition and guest lists.
• Project manage Thanksgiving Day program with multiple departments.
• Ensure weeks leading up to Thanksgiving maximize corporate and major donor participation.
