Qualifications

• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

About the Role

Our client, a well-established and impactful charitable organization serving the Welkom, Free State community, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Fundraising and Development Manager. This critical role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to secure diverse funding streams, including individual donations, corporate partnerships, grants, and events. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of fundraising principles, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to cultivate donor relationships. You will play a key role in ensuring the financial sustainability of our client's vital programs, enabling them to continue their work in Welkom . Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.


• Cultivate and manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and government agencies.


• Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events, ensuring successful outcomes and donor engagement.


• Write compelling grant proposals and reports, securing funding from various grant-making bodies.


• Develop and implement campaigns for annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving.


• Steward existing donor relationships to ensure retention and increase giving levels.


• Oversee the maintenance of donor database and ensure accurate record-keeping.


• Collaborate with the communications team to develop fundraising materials and marketing collateral.

Requirements
