Placements24 is seeking an experienced Program Manager to oversee remote operations of national development initiatives. You will lead strategic planning, design, budgeting, and execution across distributed teams to meet program goals.

You will mentor program officers, manage relationships with funders and partners, and drive continuous improvement through robust monitoring and reporting. A Master’s degree and remote leadership experience are preferred.

• Master's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• Minimum 5–7 years in program management, remote leadership preferred.

About the Role

This role is critical in overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and successful execution of various programs aimed at community upliftment and empowerment. As a fully remote position, you will manage a distributed team, foster collaboration across geographical boundaries, and ensure programmatic goals are met with excellence and efficiency. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the end-to-end management of multiple non-profit programs, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy and mission.
• Lead and mentor a remote team of program officers and support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop detailed program work plans, budgets, and timelines, tracking progress and managing resources effectively.
• Identify and mitigate programmatic risks, implementing solutions to ensure project success.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including funders, partners, and community beneficiaries.
• Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, impact, and effectiveness, generating comprehensive reports for leadership and funders.
• Ensure compliance with grant agreements, donor requirements, and organizational policies.

• Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among remote team members and external partners.

Requirements

• Master's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as International Development, Public Administration, Non-profit Management, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in program management, with a significant portion within the non-profit sector, preferably in a remote leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects, budgets, and teams, preferably in a distributed or remote setting.
• Strong understanding of project lifecycle management, monitoring and evaluation frameworks (M&E), and results-based management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, Slack, MS Teams).
• Ability to think strategically, solve complex problems, and make sound decisions.
• Experience in proposal development and grant writing is a significant advantage.
• High degree of self-motivation, organization, and ability to work independently.
