Job summary

Placements24 partners with a charitable organization serving the Welkom, Free State community to recruit a skilled Fundraising and Development Manager. You will lead strategies to secure diverse funding streams, including individuals, foundations, corporations, grants, and events, enabling vital programs to continue.

The role requires outstanding communication, donor relationship cultivation, and proven success in fundraising.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Non-profit Management, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive fundraising and development experience.
• Proven donor cultivation, grant writing, and event management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with persuasive appeals.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet annual revenue goals.
• Cultivate and manage relationships with individual donors, foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events with donor engagement.
• Write compelling grant proposals and reports to secure diverse funding.
• Develop campaigns for annual giving, major gifts, and planned giving.
• Oversee donor database maintenance and accurate record-keeping.
• Collaborate with communications to create fundraising materials.
• Research new funding sources and opportunities.
• Analyze performance data and report to senior management.
• Engage volunteers in fundraising activities and events.
