Job summary

Sitemetric is seeking a Field Tech III to lead on-site deployments and mentor a small team of field technicians across multiple job sites. You will install and configure IoT sensor systems, manage wireless networks, and ensure data is captured and transmitted for real-time insights.

You will also serve as an on-site mentor, upholding Sitemetric’s standards of quality, safety, and reliability while guiding teammates and coordinating with enterprise implementation teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience installing and deploying industrial sensor technologies (environmental, motion, proximity, BLE, NFC, LTE, RFID, or similar).
• 3+ years working in construction technology, industrial automation, or similar field deployed technology environments.
• Certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Network+ are desirable.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and data integration.

Responsibilities

• Train and mentor new Field Tech hires, providing on-the-job training and feedback.
• Manage a pod of Field Techs (typically 3–5 technicians), coordinating daily assignments and safety compliance.
• Deploy and install IoT systems including environmental sensors, motion and proximity devices, BLE, NFC, LTE, and RFID according to project specs.
• Configure IoT devices, establish wireless connections, and test system performance and integration with enterprise platforms.
• Conduct on-site maintenance and troubleshooting to restore systems.
• Document field activities and communicate reports to management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project execution and customer satisfaction.
• Manage field operations independently, including travel logistics and time management.
