Chime is seeking a strong engineer to build scalable systems and drive innovation on the communications platform. You will work on fullstack development—from backend infrastructure to messaging interfaces on apps—for millions of members.

This foundational role includes key architectural changes to power messaging at scale. The role emphasizes collaboration with cross-functional teams, delivering thoroughly tested code, and accelerating development velocity while ensuring a top-notch member

Qualifications

• 3+ years of fullstack development experience.
• Backend development experience; bonus GraphQL and Ruby.
• Mobile development experience; bonus React Native.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and collaborate well with team members.
• Understanding of architectural patterns of large production services built for scale.
• Strong learning mindset with attention to detail and user focus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, release, and scale changes to our mobile and backend architecture
• Collaborate effectively with the cross functional team to solve complex problems within the team domain
• Develop thoroughly tested code and conduct quality assurance on all new code
• Work in a team as well as independently to deliver on goals to accelerate development velocity while delivering the best experience to our members
