Job summary

City Year AmeriCorps members coach and mentor students across elementary to high school, helping them achieve academic success and better attendance. You will plan individual progress, assist teachers, and contribute to a positive classroom environment in partnership with staff.

Role includes 2–4 weeks of initial training, ongoing guidance, and eligibility for AmeriCorps benefits. This is a full-time, paid position based in City Year partner schools in New Hampshire.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required; 2–4 weeks of training provided at start of year.
• Support 1:1 and small group work with identified students.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to collect and monitor student progress.

Responsibilities

• Coach and mentor elementary, middle and/or high school students to improve academic success and attendance.
• Plan and monitor individual student progress and support classroom instruction.
• Create engaging, safe learning environments in collaboration with teachers.
