Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Columbus, Ohio, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, assist customers with a positive, friendly approach, and develop the store team.

This role covers merchandising, opening/closing duties, and maintaining a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom. You will support payroll/scheduling, loss prevention, and execution of corporate directives while upholding safety and company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Protect and secure assets including store cash.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and well-organized store environment.
• Coach and develop Store Associates and supervise the store team.
• Follow company policies and safety guidelines.
