Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a full-time associate responsible for processing, packaging and stocking seafood products in a cold environment, while delivering excellent customer service. The role includes unloading stock, reloading salvage, and performing meat clerk duties when needed.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, or related experience, and be able to read and communicate in English, with strong interpersonal skills and willingness to complete required training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 1–3 months related experience or training, or an equivalent combination.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and willingness to complete required training with the team.
• Ability to read, comprehend simple instructions and memos in English, and present information in one-on-one or small group settings to English speakers.
• Ability to add/subtract two-digit numbers using US money and weight measures.
• Ability to apply commonsense and work through problems with a few concrete variables.
• Complete company training including new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process and package seafood products according to Seafood Standards.
• Stock, unload, and reload items; provide customer service during unloading and stocking.
• Perform meat clerk duties when assigned.
• Maintain clean work areas and follow safety guidelines.
