Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a compassionate full-time Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team. You will provide person-centered care to enhance residents’ mobility, strength, and quality of life under supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Qualifications include an active Texas PTA license and preferably SNF or long-term care experience; familiarity with Net Health is a plus. The role emphasizes teamwork and clear communication with residents, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas PTA license.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer medically prescribed PT treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function.
• Provide skilled PT services under supervision of a Physical Therapist.
• Relay information and referrals to the Physical Therapist.
• Implement and modify patient care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure and record patients’ motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and modify approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide education to patients, family, and caregivers; document thoroughly.
• Attend meetings as designated by the Director of Rehab.
