Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) on a PRN basis to support our in-house team. You will help residents improve mobility, strength, and overall quality of life under PT supervision and according to physician orders.

Responsibilities include administering prescribed treatments, documenting outcomes, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team. Texas PTA licensure and SNF experience are preferred. New grads welcome.

Qualifications

• Active and valid Texas Physical Therapy Assistant license.
• In good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
• SNF or long-term care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of physical therapy treatment practices.
• Experience with Net Health Electronic Documentation System preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer PT treatments as prescribed to relieve pain and improve function.
• Provide skilled PT services under PT supervision.
• Relay requests for service to the PT and coordinate care.
• Modify care plans under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient response and adjust approaches with the interdisciplinary team.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers.
• Ensure timely, compliant documentation per policies and regulations.
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
