Job summary

The Arboretum of Winnie is seeking a compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehab team on a PRN basis in Mount Pleasant, Texas. You will deliver person-centered care to help residents improve mobility, strength, and quality of life under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities include administering prescribed treatments, documenting progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PTA license is required.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and patient care.
• Experience with SNF or long-term care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed physical therapy treatments under PT supervision.
• Provide skilled PT services and interventions per physician orders.
• Respond to service requests and relay information to the PT.
• Implement and adjust plans of care under PT supervision.
• Measure and record motor function, strength, and muscle performance.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust approaches with the team.
• Provide patient/family education and ensure timely documentation per policies
• Attend required Rehab Director meetings.
