Job summary

UnitedHealth Group in Peabody, MA is seeking a Lab Associate to collect blood specimens and other samples, delivering them to the lab and providing information about tests according to standard procedures.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, reliable transportation, and phlebotomy training with CPR/BLS. You will work FT, 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday 10am–6:30pm, with rotating weekends and holidays and coverage at other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED
• Access to reliable transportation and a valid US driver's license
• Phlebotomy training and CPR/BLS an asset
• Experience with LIS/EMR is preferred

Responsibilities

• Collects blood specimens using venipuncture and skin puncture.
• Collects non-blood specimens such as urine, sputum, and throat swabs.
• Verifies test requisitions and ensures accuracy before collection.
• Assists with processing and labeling of specimens.
• Maintains neat work area and follows safety procedures
