Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Pediatric Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Graduate of a training program that includes phlebotomy skills with demonstrated competency.
• Inpatient Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood and other specimens following safety and HIPAA guidelines.
• Check patient identifiers and ensure requisitions match labels and patient ID.
• Prepare site and perform venipuncture using appropriate equipment.
• Label specimens in patient presence and transport to the lab.
• Provide reception and clerical functions at the Specimen Collection center front desk.
• Maintain supply inventory and complete monthly checks.
