Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring a Nutrition Operator in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role involves securing patient meal selections, coordinating with nursing, and ensuring dietary needs are met with attentiveness and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities include adhering to dietary guidelines, following proper etiquette with patients and staff, and completing required reports. Rotating weekends may be required; prior operator experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact with patients, families and staff.
• Ability to follow established dietary guidelines and HIPAA requirements.
• Responsive to patient needs and able to handle sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Secure patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face-to-face interactions.
• Follow proper telephone etiquette with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offer menu alternatives within prescribed diets considering allergies, cultural and religious preferences.
• Coordinate with nursing to ensure diet prescriptions are accurate and meals meet dietary restrictions.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly or monthly reports as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
