Job summary

Morrison Healthcare seeks a Nutrition Operator to secure patient meal selections and handle special requests via telephone or in person. You will interact with patients, nursing staff, and healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diet orders and top-quality service.

Hours are full-time, with a 12:00 pm–8:00 pm shift and rotating weekends. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, and prior menu/ordering experience is valued.

Qualifications

• Prior experience reading patient menus and orders, typing, technology, customer service, and phone experience are preferred.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Secures patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or face-to-face interactions.
• Follows telephone etiquette with patients, visitors and healthcare professionals.
• Offers menu alternatives within prescribed diets considering allergies, cultural, ethnic and religious preferences.
• Responds to patient needs, resolves concerns or reports to supervisor as appropriate.
• Ensures dietary restrictions are met within diet order guidelines.
• Interacts with nursing to ensure accuracy of diet prescriptions and patient food needs.
• Adheres to confidentiality and HIPAA policies.
• Follows HACCP guidelines when assembling and distributing food supplies.
• Completes daily/weekly/monthly reports as required by policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
