Responsibilities

• Follows proper telephone etiquette with patients, visitors and healthcare staff.
• Secures patient meal selections and special requests via telephone or in person.
• Offers alternatives within prescribed diets considering allergies, cultural and religious needs.
• Responds to patient needs and resolves concerns or reports to supervisor.
• Ensures diet prescriptions and patient food needs are accurate with nursing.
• Adheres to HIPAA, confidentiality and patient rights policies.
• Complies with health and sanitation regulations and HACCP guidelines.
• Completes daily, weekly or monthly reports as required by policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
