Job summary

Tennova Healthcare LaFollette Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician to provide patient-centered support under RN/LPN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living and maintaining a safe clinical environment.

You will collect vital signs, support feeding and hygiene, aid in mobility, document findings, and help with infection control and PPE compliance. A high school diploma and CNA/CPCT or BCLS certification are preferred; nursing students encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Currently enrolled in a nursing program preferred.
• BCLS certification within 90 days of hire preferred.
• CNA and/or CPCT certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care and maintain a clean, safe environment.
• Record and report vital signs and data to RN/LPN.
• Support patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and activities of daily living.
• Assist with patient positioning and mobility using aids.
• Collect urine/stool samples and perform blood glucose monitoring.
• Communicate patient information to the care team and follow PPE protocols.
• Participate in quality and safety initiatives and compliance with safety standards.
• Maintain regular attendance and adhere to all policies.
