Job summary

Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support routine patient care under supervision of RN or LPN. The role emphasizes safe, clean environments, effective communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced setting.

The ideal candidate has basic patient care knowledge, strong organizational and communication skills, and is pursuing a nursing program. CNA/CPCT preferred and BCLS certification within 90 days of hire may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff with delegated basic patient care services.
• Record and report patient data (vital signs, intake/output, etc.) to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Support with meals, bathing, grooming, mobility, and linens.
• Assist positioning, ambulation, and use of mobility aids.
• Collect samples and monitor blood glucose as directed.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Maintain infection control practices and PPE usage.
