Tennova Healthcare- North Knoxville Medical Center is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) who will support nursing staff by performing delegated basic care tasks, collecting vital signs, and assisting with activities of daily living. Qualifications

• 0–2 years of acute care experience or nursing program enrollment preferred
• BCLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 90 days of hire required
• CPCT or CNA certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a clean, safe environment.
• Collects and records patient data including vital signs and intake/output, reporting to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Supports patients with meals, bathing, grooming, and activities of daily living.
• Assists with patient positioning, ambulation, and mobility aids.
• Performs blood glucose monitoring and collects specimens as directed.
• Communicates patient information effectively to the care team and follows safety protocols.
• Maintains infection control measures and uses PPE as required.
• Participates in performance improvement and risk management initiatives.
• Maintains regular attendance and adheres to hospital policies.
