Job summary

Twin County Regional Hospital in Virginia seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Women’s Services unit. This full-time night shift (7p-7a) includes alternating weekends and a mission to provide compassionate care across obstetrics and gynecology spaces.

The team supports a 12-bed Women’s Center with opportunities for lactation consulting and wide-ranging maternal care training. Licensure, BLS due within 30 days, and preferred ACLS/PALS/NRP are outlined.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS, PALS & NRP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

What we’re looking for

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Additional requirements include

• Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire, or prior to completion of orientation if 30 days before hire
• ACLS, PALS & NRP and Handle With Care preferred
