Job summary

Twin County Regional Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Behavioral Health unit on the night shift. The role offers full-time nights with an alternating weekend schedule and a sign-on bonus of up to $20,000. The unit provides 12-bed acute behavioral health care and opportunities for growth within Lifepoint Health facilities.

Applicants must hold an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license and obtain BLS within 30 days. ACLS/PALS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Handle with Care required within 6 months of hire.
• ACLS, PALS & ACLS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs.
• Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient.
• Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record.
• Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Performs timely and accurate QI assessments.

How You'll Contribute

A Registered Nurse (RN) who excels in this role will:

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have an active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.

Additional Requirements Include

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire
• Handle with Care is required within 6 months of hire
• ACLS, PALS & ACLS is preferred
• One year of med/surg or behavioral health experience is preferred
