The Standard High Line, a culturally engaged hotel in New York, seeks an Overnight Front Desk Agent for a full-time, on-site role. You will warmly welcome guests, check them in/out with Opera, and share local recommendations while upholding exceptional service standards.

Responsibilities include upselling rooms, processing transactions, coordinating with housekeeping and bellstaff, and ensuring a smooth guest experience with attention to privacy and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a front desk or similar role.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions.
• Capable of basic arithmetic with money and standard measurements.
• Good sanitation and organizational skills.
• Open availability and ability to multi-task during peak times.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Conduct check-in/check-out using Opera; verify room type and rates.
• Register guests, issue keys, provide hotel information and directions.
• Up-sell rooms to maximize hotel revenue.
• Process cash and credit card transactions accurately and prepare reports.
• Communicate guest requests to management for follow-up.
• Coordinate room statuses with housekeeping and bell staff.
• Provide dining, shopping, and local area recommendations.
• Confirm restaurant reservations and maintain lobby lighting and amenity stocks.
• Maintain cashier bank and daily ledger; respond to guest complaints with service recovery.
