Job summary

The Standard is seeking an Overnight Front Desk Agent (Full-time) at The Standard, High Line in New York. You will warmly welcome guests, handle check-ins/outs, and provide local insights to enhance the guest experience.

Responsibilities include operating Opera for check-in/out, upselling rooms, handling cash, and coordinating with housekeeping, bell staff, and other departments to ensure a seamless stay. Previous experience in a high-end hotel is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, comprehend and follow instructions, preferably bilingual.
• 1–3 years of prior experience in a similar position.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and handle cash transactions.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
• Perform check-in and check-out using Opera; review bills and obtain signatures.
• Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and location.
• Upsell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
• Communicate guest requests to management and other departments.
• Coordinate transportation to and from the airport and assist with arrangements.
