Ohio Valley Surgical Hospital is seeking a full-time Front Desk Receptionist for our Orthopedics department. The role includes patient admission, registration, and front-desk coordination in the Clayton/ Centerville area.

Responsibilities include handling patient information, coordinating with medical staff, scheduling, and collecting payments while ensuring confidentiality and smooth front desk operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year receptionist experience in ambulatory setting or doctor's office.
• Preferred 1 year experience as Medical Assistant.
• Must have experience using computer and phone system.
• Competency in oral and written communication.
• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Admission and registration of patients.
• Verifies the accuracy and completeness of patient information; enters data into medical software at registration.
• Interacts with patients in waiting rooms; assists clinical staff as needed.
• Notifies appropriate personnel of patient delays or changes.
• Escalates referrals to orthopedic practice as directed.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records at the front desk.
• Collects co-pays and payments from patients.
• Retrieves and forwards messages and patient records as requested.
• Schedules and reschedules office appointments using templating rules.
