Eyemart Express in Raleigh, NC is seeking a full-time Optical Retail Sales Associate to guide patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings, ensuring precise measurements and smooth production handoffs to our lab team.

You will provide personalized care at the point of dispense, handle payments, educate customers on eyeglass care, and assist with insurance claims. A HS diploma and strong communication skills are required, with optical experience a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Optical industry experience is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service and assist patients in selecting eyeglass frames, lenses, and coatings.
• Ensure accurate measurements and prescription information for lab technicians.
• Oversee production process and dispense glasses to patients with care.
• Process payments and refunds using the Point of Sale system.
• Educate patients on eyeglass care and frame maintenance.
• Process insurance claims and maintain up-to-date product knowledge.
• Create and manage patient files with confidentiality in mind.
• Take measurements, prepare work orders, and inspect final products for accuracy.
• Adjust and repair frames as needed; price and stock merchandise.
