Job summary

Bethesda Health Group in Oakland, MO is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time night shift (6:45pm - 7:15am).

Provide nursing care, assess residents, document care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with the IDT. MO LPN license, CPR/AED and IV certification are required or pursued within six months. Bethesda offers 403b, daily pay, bonuses, career advancement opportunities, and holiday pay.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited nursing program resulting in LPN licensure.
• Current LPN license in the state of MO.
• CPR and AED certification, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• IV certification, or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Long-term care experience preferred.
• Ability to assess basic nursing needs of geriatric residents.
• Excellent communication with residents, visitors and staff.
• Time management and organizational skills required.
• Ability to stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper technique and with assistance.
• Ability to transfer/move patients weighing 200+ lbs with assistance.
• Ability to push/pull equipment over 40 lbs with proper technique and assistance.
• Dexterity, coordination, and manual skill with patients/equipment.
• Good visual acuity and color distinction.
• Ability to document electronically and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care and assesses residents on admission and ongoing.
• Communicates significant changes to the IDT and documents assessments.
• Participates in care planning and updates plans as interventions change.
• Implements nursing interventions including orders and patient education.
• Ensures safe medication administration and treatments; follows policies.
• Documents interventions accurately and timely; uses SBAR for physician communication.
