Job summary

Bethesda Health in Clayton, MO seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care on admission and ongoing assessments. You will document assessments, participate in care planning, communicate changes to the IDT and residents' families, and ensure safe administration of medications and treatments.

IV certification required or planned; CPR/AED certification required or planned. Twelve hours of nursing continuing education are required annually.

Qualifications

• Education leading to LPN licensure in the relevant state.
• Current LPN license in the state of work.
• IV Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.
• CPR/AED Certification required or willing to obtain within six months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provides basic nursing care by assisting in the assessment of residents on admission and ongoing basis.
• Documents assessments accurately and timely; communicates changes to the IDT and families.
• Participates in care planning and updates the care plan as needed.
• Ensures safe administration of medications and treatments; administers IV fluids if IV certified.
