Zusammenfassung

Bethesda Dilworth seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for full-time night shift 6:45pm-7:15am to provide basic nursing care for geriatric residents. You will assess, document, and communicate changes to the IDT, and implement care plans with safe medication administration and IV care as qualified.

You will collaborate with residents, families, and staff, ensuring timely interventions and adherence to Bethesda policies. A strong focus on safety, documentation, and ongoing education is required.

Qualifikationen

• Education from an accredited school of nursing that results in becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse
• Current LPN license in the state you will be working
• CPR and AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• IV certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
• Long-term care experience preferred
• Must be able to assess the basic nursing care needs of the geriatric resident
• Must possess excellent communication skills to interact with residents, visitors and staff
• Time management and organizational skills required
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary
• Ability to transfer and move patients who vary with ability to assist weighing 200+lbs using proper lifting techniques and with assistance when necessary
• Ability to push and pull equipment weighing in excess of 40lbsusing proper techniques and with assistance whennecessary
• Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with patients and equipment
• Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color
• Ability to physically perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing

• Implements nursing interventions per care plan and physician orders.
• Administers medications and treatments safely and timely.
• Maintains IV certification and administers IV fluids per policy.
• Keeps residents and families informed and participates in care planning.
• Uses SBARR for physician communication when notifying of changes.
• Maintains composure during crises and advocates for resident safety.
• Performs required continuing education and stays current with policies.
