WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a dedicated nursing assistant to provide basic patient care under RN supervision. You will help with activities of daily living, transport patients, and prepare examinations, contributing to safe and comfortable patient experiences.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy under supervision, vital sign checks, and assisting with rehab activities, while maintaining infection control and clear communication with the care team.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• BLS/HeartSaver First Aid certification within 30 days of hire.
• Preferred: prior patient care experience.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in direct patient care by providing basic physical care as directed by the RN.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including beds.
• Safely transport patients and escorts for tests and discharge.
• Perform routine phlebotomy services and tests per policy.
• Record vital signs and monitoring data as required.
• Provide respiratory support and encourage use of incentive spirometer.
• Communicate patient concerns to the RN immediately.
• Prepare patients for examinations and assist with procedures.
• Assist with basic rehab/Physical Therapy activities.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment to prevent infections.
