Job summary

WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals in Morgantown seeks a compassionate CNA to support direct patient care under RN supervision. You will assist with basic physical care, daily living activities, and safe patient handling, while promoting a family-centered experience.

Responsibilities include preparing patients for exams, transporting to tests, performing routine vitals and basic phlebotomy, and helping with rehab activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support or HeartSaver First Aid within 30 days of hire date.
• Prior patient care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in direct patient care by providing basic physical care under RN supervision.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living and bed making.
• Safely transports patients to tests and procedures and escorts them for discharge.
• Transports specimens and items throughout the facility.
• Performs routine tests (glucose, urine/stool) and maintains quality control logs.
• Performs routine phlebotomy services as assigned and records vitals per policy.
