Job summary

UnityPoint Health – Des Moines is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for Full-Time Nights (7pm-7:30am) with weekend and holiday rotations. Offering a limited-time $20,000 sign-on bonus, relocation assistance up to $10,000, and RN Residency options for newer graduates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or IA Board of Nursing approved nursing program.
• Current licensure in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in Iowa.
• Minimum of twelve months acute RN experience.
• Newly licensed RNs or RNs with less than 12 months may participate in the RN Residency program.

Responsibilities

• Assesses the needs of patients and families, providing appropriate teaching and making referrals for continuity of care.
• Develops an individualized plan of care with patient/family and health care team.
• Completes documentation promptly to ensure an accurate legal record of care.
• Delivers high quality care using the nursing process on the assigned unit in line with policies and standards.
• Uses a holistic approach considering biopsychosocial, spiritual, educational, safety needs of patients and families.
• Delegates and guides other team members within scope of practice and monitors involvement in care plan.
• Maintains accountability for nursing knowledge and interventions through critical thinking.
