Job summary

Mondelēz International is seeking a proactive Merchandiser in Des Plaines, IL to stock shelves, build attractive displays, and represent Nabisco brands in front of store staff.

You will work alongside sales reps, follow DSD merchandising steps, capture display photos, reorder products via iPad, and ensure in-store plans and seasonal promotions are executed with a positive, professional attitude.

Qualifications

Be at least 18 years of age.
Have a valid REAL ID driver's license or U.S. passport or federal ID.
High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Positive and professional attitude; self-motivated and able to work independently.
Ability to drive a personal vehicle to store locations.
Ability to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and carrying up to 25 lbs.
Occasionally push and pull over 50 lbs.
Previous retail / grocery experience is a plus.
Live within 25-35 miles from Des Plaines, IL.
Tuesday-Saturday schedule availability.
Start time: 08:00 AM

Responsibilities

Fulfill customers’ merchandising needs through communication and relationship building.
Stock store shelves and maintain or change out displays.
Represent Mondelēz in front of in-store employees.
Work closely with sales representatives to optimize product visibility and construct promotional displays.
Carry out in-store visits according to Mondelēz’s DSD Merchandising Steps.
Capture pictures of displays at assigned stores.
Order product via iPad Tablet for shelves and displays to ensure in-stock conditions.
Ensure Nabisco brands are well represented, stocked, and maintained according to company guidelines.
Ensure negotiated plans with store managers are followed.
Communicate issues with Mondelēz’s management team.
Follow the daily schedule set by the merchandising manager.
Enhance seasonal sales, seasonal displays, and new product launches.
Represent Mondelēz in stores with a positive and upbeat attitude.
