Premise Health Inc. is seeking a Full Time Medical Office Receptionist to serve Northwestern Mutual employees at the Health Center in Downtown Milwaukee, WI. The role requires Epic EMR experience and prior medical office experience.

The successful candidate will handle front desk tasks, scheduling, patient check-in, billing support, and referral coordination in a fast-paced healthcare environment. A strong customer service mindset and professional demeanor are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in a medical/healthcare office setting is required.
• Epic EMR experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and maintains a filing system for patient charts, including generating chart numbers, filing, and pulling charts.
• Answers telephone and directs callers or initiates a triage slip for response by medical personnel.
• Schedules appointments and enters appointment date and time into the computerized scheduler.
• Conducts reminder calls to all patients.
• Greets and directs patients, salespeople, and visitors.
• Registers patients by verifying records are up to date and accurate in the system.
• Coordinates referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices or specialists.
• Prepares all billings in the computerized system for processing by finance.
• Collects payment from patients and reconciles daily cash reports.
• Identifies ways to improve quality and demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness.
• Solves problems timely by gathering and analyzing information and developing alternatives.
• Maintains professionalism and respectful conduct in all interactions.
• Adapts to changing priorities and performs additional duties as assigned.
