Mercyhealth in Wisconsin seeks a skilled receptionist to support front-desk operations at clinics. You will answer calls, schedule appointments in Epic, check in patients, collect payments, and maintain patient privacy in line with policy.

High school diploma and prior medical reception experience are required. You may assist in new partner orientation and participate in performance improvement initiatives while covering peak hours across Mercyhealth locations.

Qualifications

• Previous medical reception experience required.
• Internal Receptionist 2 candidates must have at least two years’ experience in a Receptionist 1 position with Mercyhealth or be cross trained in 3+ clinic locations.
• May be required to work flexible hours and overtime during peak hours.
• Active participant in established performance improvement projects.

Responsibilities

• Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers, and forwards calls to appropriate personnel.
• Schedules patient appointments in Epic.
• Check-in and registration procedures in Epic, including demographics verification and insurance loads.
• Collects co-pays and posts in Epic; assists with cashiering and daily closing.
• Provides MyChart signup help and replies to MyChart messages.
• Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality per policy.
