Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, preferably in Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• MA certification or registration required in states where required.
• CPR/BLS certification required at start date.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Take vitals, draw blood, administer injections and assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per orders.
• Coordinate care with providers and address gaps in care.
• Perform front desk tasks: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Document data in medical records and communicate results to patients.
