Job summary

Marathon Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our primary care team. The MA will work closely with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience.

The role spans medical assisting and front-desk tasks within our coordinated care model. Responsibilities include taking vitals, assisting with procedures, injections, phlebotomy, immunizations, and contributing to patient plans.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as Medical Assistant, preferably Primary Care.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program or related program.
• National or state MA certification/registration preferred; required where applicable.
• CPR/BLS certification at start date.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review patient information and update health data for provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations per written orders.
• Collaborate with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out.
• Record data in medical records according to guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate to patients via e-message, mail or phone.
• Engage patients through outreach to improve engagement and follow-up.
• Maintain clinic supplies and equipment for treatments.
