Job summary

Marathon Health Inc is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The MA works with a primary care physician to deliver excellent patient care and a welcoming guest experience, performing both administrative and clinical duties.

Responsibilities include rooming patients, taking vitals, assisting with procedures, and supporting care coordination. We value a team-driven, patient-first approach and CPR/BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of MA experience.
• Graduation from a formal Medical Assistant program.
• CPR/BLS certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure rooms are clean and stocked.
• Review previous medical information and gather updated health data for the provider.
• Take vitals, perform blood draws, give injections, bandage wounds, assist with procedures. Work with contracted labs for additional tests.
• Prepare and administer medications and immunizations as ordered by the Provider.
• Partner with care team to develop patient care plans and address gaps in care.
• Front desk duties: scheduling, records requests, referrals, check-in/out, and coordination with specialists.
• Document data in medical records according to guidelines.
• Process test results and communicate results to patients via e-message, mail, or phone.
• Participate in outreach to engage eligible patient groups.
• Maintain supplies and equipment for treatments.
