Job summary

Atrium Health's 01220 GCMG South Charlotte Internal Medicine in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Medical Assistant for full-time, 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities include patient rooming, vital signs, med reconciliation, and coordinating care with providers. Requires a high school diploma or MA program completion; BLS certification is required. We offer a competitive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or structured military clinical training (DD214) may be accepted in lieu of a formal MA program.
• 2 years of verifiable full-time Medical Assistant experience within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to MA scope of practice and policies.
• Performs rooming tasks: vitals, history, screenings, med reconciliation.
• Assists provider with procedures.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen labeling, and POCT per standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines following medication rights.
• Handles patient messaging, scheduling, referrals, and orders.
• Cross-trained for related duties within department.
