Job summary

Vanguard College Prep is seeking a Math Instructor to teach and inspire middle and high school students in core math topics, driving long‑term mastery and strong ACT/SAT performance.

You will monitor progress with Vanguard's curriculum, organize schedules, and craft engaging lesson plans while mentoring students in a competitive college prep landscape. Requires a math education background and a passion for student growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field from US Schools (Master's or higher preferred; open to those near graduation)
• Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a community college or college‑level tutoring center (1+ years)
• Academic history demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA)
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites
• Access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace

Responsibilities

• Teach and Inspire: Instruct small core groups of students in their math core skills to drive long‑term mastery
• Track Growth: Monitor students' progress using Vanguard's multi‑phase curriculum
• Organize: Maintain and update student lesson schedules and respond promptly to students
• Innovate: Develop and implement evolving lesson plans and curriculum
• Mentor: Guide middle and high school students with empathy through college prep
