Job summary

Vanguard College Prep is seeking a full-time Math Instructor to teach core topics, monitor student growth, and craft engaging lessons. You will organize schedules, mentor students, and collaborate on evolving curricula to drive mastery and top ACT/SAT outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in mathematics, education, or related STEM field from US Schools (Master’s or higher preferred; open to those near graduation).
• Teaching experience in math and/or experience working in a community college or college-level tutoring center (1+ years).
• Academic history demonstrating high achievement (e.g., 3.5+ GPA).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and G-Suites.
• Access to a reliable internet connection and a dedicated, quiet workspace.

Responsibilities

• Teach and inspire: Instruct small core groups to drive mastery of math topics and top ACT/SAT scores.
• Track growth: Monitor progress using Vanguard’s curriculum and provide individualized growth opportunities.
• Organize: Maintain schedules, reply promptly, and hold students accountable for assignments.
• Innovate: Develop and execute evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor: Guide middle and high school students with empathy through college prep challenges.
