Job summary

Vanguard College Prep is seeking a Math Instructor to lead small core groups, driving mastery of core math topics and helping students attain top ACT/SAT scores in a dedicated college-prep setting.

You will design and refine lesson plans, monitor progress using a multi-phase curriculum, and mentor students as they navigate a competitive college landscape. The role emphasizes collaboration, timely communication, and professional growth within a fast-growing startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, education, or related STEM fields from US schools.
• Master's degree preferred; open to near graduation.
• GPA of 3.5 or higher shown in academic history.
• Teaching math and/or tutoring experience at college level or community college.

Responsibilities

• Teach and inspire small groups to achieve mastery of math core topics and top ACT/SAT scores.
• Monitor student progress using Vanguard curriculum and provide growth opportunities.
• Maintain schedules, respond promptly to students, and hold assignments accountable.
• Develop and implement evolving lesson plans and curriculum.
• Mentor middle and high school students with empathy through college prep challenges.
