Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a full-time unarmed patrol role in San Jose, CA. You will provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff while enforcing site-specific security procedures.

The position requires a valid driver's license, a background check, and the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. You will patrol mall areas, monitor access points, and report incidents to site leadership promptly.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds preferred.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security procedures.
• Respond to incidents and concerns in a calm, professional manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the mall to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious conditions or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Maintain detailed activity and incident reports and communicate information to site leadership or responders.
