Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part Time Unarmed Security Officer in San Jose, CA. You will patrol and monitor a manufacturing/industrial site, provide customer service, and deter incidents through a visible presence. This role is ideal for someone who values flexible scheduling and community safety.

Position type: Part Time; Pay rate: $24.50 per hour. Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license, background check, and high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license and background check.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, maintain entry records, and direct authorized personnel in accordance with facility procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and potential security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency responders.
• Document activities, observations, incidents, and policy violations accurately through required logs and reports while helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive activity.
