Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Access Authorization in San Jose, CA. You will monitor assigned areas, perform patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, support access control and alarm response, and provide excellent service to tenants and visitors.

You will communicate professionally, follow site procedures, and work with a team in a dynamic, collaborative environment. Allied Universal emphasizes agility, reliability, and integrity.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of security-related experience is required.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check and drug screen required by policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, contractors, and property management by following security procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of property buildings, parking areas, common areas, access points, and perimeter locations.
• Monitor access to the property, verify visitor/contractor authorization, and report suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and following post orders; contact emergency services when needed.
• Prepare accurate activity logs and shift documentation; communicate security information to leadership and site contacts.
