Job summary

YMCA of Greater Boston is seeking a Full-time Lifeguard II at the Charles River YMCA. You will guard the pool, enforce rules, and follow branch emergency protocols under the Aquatics Director. Must maintain current Lifeguard certifications (YMCA, Red Cross) and be 18 or older. CPR/First Aid training is required.

Shifts vary, including mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends. Join a team focused on member safety and excellent service in a dynamic aquatic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have active lifeguard certifications (YMCA, Red Cross or equivalent).
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool and ensure patron safety.
• Enforce pool rules and address incidents immediately.
• Provide CPR, First Aid and Emergency Oxygen as needed.
• Maintain a clean and safe pool environment.
• Complete incident reports promptly.
• Engage in branch safety drills and trainings.
