Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Boston – Oak Square is hiring a Lifeguard to guard the pool, enforce rules, and respond to emergencies under the supervision of the Aquatics Director.

You will provide CPR, First Aid and oxygen as needed, maintain a clean and safe pool environment, complete incident reports, and assist with safety drills. Shifts vary and include mornings, evenings and weekends. Must be 18+ and able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Certified in CPR, First Aid and oxygen administration.
• YMCA Lifeguarding certification required or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Guard the pool and continuously scan for emergencies.
• Recognize and address emergencies or incidents immediately.
• Enforce pool rules and maintain a safe environment.
• Provide CPR, First Aid and emergency oxygen as needed.
• Complete incident reports promptly and accurately.
• Assist with safety drills and maintain communication with supervisors.
