Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Laboratory Support Technician (LST III) to join the provider care team. The role supports reports, data and scheduling, and ensures accurate specimen collection and transport in a HIPAA-compliant environment.

Responsibilities include assisting technologists in testing and processing specimens, while upholding Mercy Service Standards and contributing to mission-driven patient care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience preferred.
• Mercy LST II or equivalent experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support for reports, data and scheduling.
• Collect required specimens using safe, accurate methods.
• Process, transport and refer all specimen types and reports as required.
• Assist technologists with appropriate test methods and basic testing.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and Mercy policy compliance.
