Job summary

Mercy Rogers is seeking a part-time Laboratory Support Technician (LST I) to join the provider care team. The role focuses on accurate, timely laboratory support, specimen collection, processing and referral of reports, while upholding HIPAA and Mercy standards.

The LST I will interact with internal and external customers, delivering excellent service and assisting with data and scheduling duties as required. Prior lab experience is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred coursework in Chemistry, Biology or related sciences.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support including specimen processing and transport.
• Assist with data, scheduling and reporting duties for the lab.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements during interactions.
