Job summary

Mercy Rogers seeks a Lab Support Technician (LST I) to assist the provider care team with reports, data and scheduling for the laboratory.

The role emphasizes accurate, timely lab support and excellent customer service in line with Mercy Signature Service. The LST I handles specimen collection, processing, transport and referral while maintaining HIPAA confidentiality. This part-time, PRN position supports Mercy's mission and values.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred: College-level Chemistry, Biology or other Science courses.
• Preferred Experience: Previous experience in a clinical laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate, timely laboratory support.
• Acquire laboratory specimens for testing following safety protocols.
• Process, transport and refer specimens and reports as required.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality in all interactions.
